Gronk has no doubt he’ll be healthy for 16 games this year

Gronk

Rob Gronkowski has been plagued by injuries for much of his NFL career, but after making it through all of last season healthy, Gronk says that should no longer be a concern.

Gronkowski told the Boston Herald that he thinks he has shown he no longer needs to be asked over and over again whether he can stay healthy.

“It feels great, definitely, going into the season just thinking that way,” he said. “Going to go all year long. You just have to take care of your body the whole time. You have to keep making sure you stay up on lifting, so your body’s strong. Keeping all up on your eating, massages, all that, so you’re ready to go for all 16 games of the year, no doubt.”

No NFL player can say with any certainty that he’ll stay healthy throughout a season. But after going through a two-year stretch in which he couldn’t stay healthy, Gronkowski can now say with confidence that he’s capable of playing a full year without any significant injuries. The Patriots hope he can do that again this year.
