Ben Dogra, an agent whose high-profile list of clients includes some of the best players in the NFL, has lost his job with the talent agency CAA.
ESPN reported on Thursday afternoon that CAA fired Dogra for cause. There was no information about the reason for the firing.
Dogra has negotiated some massive contracts, including those of Bills defensive end Mario Williams and Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, and there will immediately be speculation about whether his clients will follow him or stay with CAA.
Just last week, Forbes reported that the trio of Dogra, Tom Condon and Jimmy Sexton made CAA’s football practice more valuable than any other multi-practice agency in the world. Now that football practice is undergoing a major shakeup.
