Jason Taylor’s move to the Jets inspired a pretty sweet back page of the New York Daily News, but we can’t help but feel his welcome to New York got lost in the pre-draft shuffle Wednesday.
Taylor met the Jets media, and pleaded his case to the fans that he’s talked trash about for years.
“I think somewhere along the way, they’ll see that I’m not the devil, that I’m a likable guy I think in a lot of ways, and hopefully we’ll have a good relationship,” Taylor said.
He said he can’t change everyone’s mind, but he can help the Jets win football games.
The Big Apple can rest easier Wednesday night knowing Jets superfan Firemen Ed has given the move his blessing.
“I don’t like the way he talked about Jets fans, but you have to move on,” Ed told ESPNNewYork.com.
