Joe Haden will miss offseason program after ankle surgery

The Cleveland Browns have seen several key players leave in the past week and a half. Another key player won’t be available to the Browns for several more months.

The Browns have announced that cornerback Joe Haden has undergone ankle surgery. The procedure is associated with an injury that happened in Week Eight of the 2015 season.

According to the team, Haden is expected to return to action “during” training camp. This means he’ll miss all of the offseason program, and part of training camp.

Haden was inactive for eight games last season due to injury, including a concussion that caused him to be placed on injured reserve in December. He enters the seventh season of his career with a salary of $10.1 million and a cap number of $13.4 million.
