The Broncos will be thankful next week, because they’re getting their coach back in town.

According to Mike Klis of the Denver Post, Broncos coach John Fox will return to Colorado Wednesday, after recovering from Nov. 4 heart surgery at his offseason home in Charlotte.

Owner Pat Bowlen is sending his private plane to pick up Fox and his wife Robin and bring them back.

It’s not immediately clear when Fox will return to the sidelines, as the Broncos plan to monitor his workload upon his return.

But he has been involved already.

According to ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio, Fox has been keeping close tabs on his team while away. He’s still talking to players and texting them often (including quarterback Peyton Manning), and is taking to interim coach Jack Del Rio several times a day. He held a team meeting via Skype Monday.

The Broncos have won both games with Del Rio at the helm, heading into tonight’s game against the Patriots.
