Bears receiver Johnny Knox suffered a serious back injury on Sunday early in Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. Bent backward awkwardly, Knox left via a stretcher to be evaluated at a local hospital.
As a result of the injury, Knox will have back surgery Monday to stabilize a vertebrae in his back. The team has announced that the procedure will occur.
According to the Bears, the long-term prognosis is positive for the third-year wideout from Abilene Christian. In the short term, the Bears will need help at the positive, given the recent decision to dump Sam Hurd.
