Lamar Miller is off to a good start tonight, and so are the Dolphins.
Miller ran five times for 29 yards in the first 10 minutes of Monday night’s game, and his fifth run was a 14-yard touchdown around the left end that gave the Dolphins a 7-3 lead over the Giants.
The Dolphins’ opening drive ended when Dion Sims caught a short pass and fumbled, and Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul recovered. That set New York up for a field goal.
Although both teams are 5-7, the Dolphins have nothing to play for in the competitive AFC, while the Giants are playing for a share of first place in the NFC East. That may give the Giants more motivation, but so far it’s been the Dolphins taking control.
