Lions receiver Golden Tate started today’s game by taking a huge hit. But it didn’t rattle him.
After the Cowboys went three-and-out on today’s first possession, Tate took a huge shot when returning the Dallas punt. But Tate was just fine, popped back up and got on the field for the Lions’ first offensive possession.
It wasn’t a long possession. It took the Lions just four plays to go 62 yards, thanks to Tate catching a deep ball from Matthew Stafford and racing to the end zone for a 51-yard touchdown.
The Lions, who haven’t won a playoff game since 1991, now lead 7-0. That last playoff win came against the Cowboys, who will need to play a lot better than they have in the first few minutes.
