Lockette ejected in Kansas City

Lockette

In plenty of games, a player gives another player a blow to a helmeted head, without being ejected. On Sunday, Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette didn’t benefit from that dynamic.

While tackling Chiefs running back De’Anthony Thomas after a 40-yard punt return, Lockette held onto the rookie’s leg a little longer than maybe Lockette should have. A Chiefs player retaliated with a shove to Lockette, who then sprung up and delivered a blow to the player’s head.

Lockette abruptly was ejected from the game. The Chiefs abruptly turned the ball over, culminating in a touchdown pass to former Chiefs tight end Tony Moeaki. Seattle leads for the first time all day, 20-17.
