As if former Giants running back Tiki Barber didn’t have enough problems, he has been sued by a company that claims Barber fraudulently represented that he is happily married.
TMZ reports that Tricera Revolution, Inc. claims that it hired Barber and his wife, Ginny, to market “state-of-the-art indoor cycling studios,” based on the fact that they “purportedly were a happily-married, celebrity couple.”
The Barbers were compensated via stock in the company.
Tricera now claims that, in the wake of reports that Barber “was engaged in an adulterous affair . . . and intended to divorce Ginny Barber,” Tiki knew that the promotion ultimately would be worthless.
The company wants to scuttle the deal and recover its stock from Tiki and Ginny Barber.
