It got pushed back a couple days, but the NFL is ready to unveil its 2013 schedule.

The league will formally unveil the regular-season schedule on Thursday at 8 p.m. Eastern. The schedule release had been tentatively expected to happen on Tuesday night, but the league confirmed on Monday that it was delaying the announcement.

We already know -- and have known since the end of the 2012 regular season -- every team’s home and away opponents, but the league puts a lot of work into the schedule, considering everything from putting marquee teams in prime time, to avoiding long road trips on short weeks, to keeping the Florida teams out of the sun on early afternoons in September, to avoiding conflicts with Jewish holidays for the New York teams.

Now all that work is finally done, and the NFL can unveil the schedule on Thursday night.
