No Hard Feelings For Torrie Cox

Torrie Cox insists that he isn’t holding a grudge. Despite being accidentally bashed in the face with a helmet last month by fellow Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib, Cox has moved past the incident. As we first reported, Talib swung his helmet back during a practice altercation with offensive tackle Donald Penn and wound up injuring Cox in the process. While trying to break up the fight, Cox suffered a large laceration on his face by his nose and right eye. Now, Cox has a large scar on his face, according to Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times. What Cox doesn’t have is hard feelings. “That’s in the past,’' Cox told the Times. “That’s football. It happened. Move on. Nothing serious happened and I’m out there still playing.” Talib and Penn were reportedly fined by the team for the practice brawl. Plus, the entire team was punished with extra conditioning drills, including windsprints and repeatedly hitting the blocking sled. As noted in the report, Cox is a resilient player. He has torn his anterior cruciate ligament three times. “I’m like that Jason guy, you keep trying to kill him, you keep trying to kill him, but he keeps coming back,’' Cox said. “I never fall.”
