The Packers are making a concerted playoff push, and they’re working on the future as well.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Packers have signed defensive end Mike Daniels to a four-year, $42 million extension.

The deal reportedly pays him $22 million in the first 15 months, and makes him the third highest-paid 3-4 defensive end.

Daniels was set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and allows the Packers one fewer question to answer then, as they try to hang onto the NFC North title in the short term.
