Packers’ John Dorsey declines offer to interview for Colts G.M.

As they search for someone to oversee the front office in the wake of the firings of Bill and Chris Polian, the Indianapolis Colts asked Green Bay Packers director of college scouting John Dorsey to interview.

And, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports, Dorsey turned down a chance to interview for the General Manager position in Indianapolis.

There’s no word on what Dorsey’s reasons were. With Packers director of football operations Reggie McKenzie a hot candidate for general manager positions around the league, Dorsey may want to see how things shake out in Green Bay before looking to go elsewhere. Dorsey has been with the Packers almost non-stop since they drafted him as a linebacker out of Connecticut in 1984, so he may prefer to stay in Green Bay.

And so the team with the first overall pick in the draft and a tough decision to make on Peyton Manning will continue to search for candidates to make those decisions.
