The Patriots will be short at running back on Monday night in Miami.
New England has downgraded Fred Taylor to out for the game against the Dolphins.
Taylor has played in all three games this year and picked up 98 yards on 25 carries, but he missed practice this week with a toe injury.
In Taylor’s absence BenJarvus Green-Ellis, who leads the Patriots this season with 31 carries for 139 yards, will probably get even more work. Sammy Morris and Danny Woodhead are also likely to get carries, and the recently signed Thomas Clayton is expected to be active as well.
