The University of California-Irvine has one of the best mascots in the world, but no football team.

But for the next three summers, the home of the Anteaters will also be the home of the Rams.

The college announced they would host the Rams training camp for the next three years, returning the Los Angeles NFL team to its previous Orange County home.

“We’re committed to being a university for the people, which means offering stellar academics and inviting our community to join us for historic events,” chancellor Howard Gillman said in a statement. “We’re proud to welcome the Rams back to Southern California, where they belong.”

During their first stint in L.A., the Rams practiced at Cal-Irvine from 1990-92 and in 1994, before moving to St. Louis. The Rams also played in Anaheim from 1980-95.

The Rams will report to camp on July 26, and the rookies who show up the first day will have dibs on all the cool Anteaters gear from the school bookstore.
