Penalties wiped out two touchdowns and WR Derrick Mason dropped a pass in the end zone during the Ravens’ 23-20 loss to the Steelers.

Ravens T Oniel Cousins, playing because of Jared Gaither’s injury, was beaten repeatedly by Steelers LB LaMarr Woodley leading to two sacks and an interception.

The Ravens piled up 113 penalty yards overall on Sunday, a number Ravens coach John Harbaugh pointed to as a big reason for the loss.

For the fifth time this season, the Ravens couldn’t find a way to win a game late.

Steelers WR Santonio Holmes caught a touchdown pass in the first half, the eight time he’s scored against the Ravens in his career.

Woodley’s monster game included 10 tackes and a forced fumble with just over two minutes left which DE Ziggy Hood recovered to seal the Steelers win.

The Steelers secondary had its rough moments but didn’t allow any plays of more than 30 yards and got bailed out by Mason’s crucial drop.

Rookie WR Travis Grisham’s first NFL catch converted a third down in the fourth quarter and helped set up the winning field goal.

KR Stefan Logan picked up 129 kickoff return yards and now holds the Steelers franchise record in that statistic.
