Report: Brett Hundley visiting Texans

The Texans have plenty of quarterbacks. But they don’t have a franchise quarterback. And so they continue to look for a franchise quarterback.

The search continues Monday, with a pre-draft visit from former UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Hundley lands somewhere in the second tier of quarterbacks, behind Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota. In Houston, Hundley would join Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallett, Tom Savage, and whoever else happens to be loitering on the roster.

Regarded as a potential first-round prospect if he’d opted to come out early in 2014, Hundley faded in his final season in college -- even though his numbers weren’t terrible, with 22 touchdown passes and only five interceptions.
