The Broncos start their offseason program on Monday, which means the team will be back together for the first time since they celebrated their Super Bowl 50 title.

Several members of the team have already moved on to new homes as free agents, but it looks like one player is close to finding his way back to Denver. Mike Klis of KUSA in Denver reports that contract talks between the team and running back Ronnie Hillman have “heated up” recently.

Per Klis, the Broncos hope to close a deal that keeps Hillman in the fold on Monday.

Hillman led the Broncos with 207 carries, 863 yards and seven rushing touchdowns last season, but took a back seat to C.J. Anderson in the postseason. Anderson looks like the starter again this season after the Broncos matched the Dolphins’ offer to Anderson as a restricted free agent, but Hillman’s return would keep the backfield intact behind whoever winds up as the starting quarterback in Denver.
