Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was replaced late in Sunday’s game at Denver after he suffered a left knee injury on a fourth-quarter interception.
Broncos defensive tackle Terrance Knighton collided with Griffin as the quarterback attempted a pass. The force of the hit took Griffin to the ground, and he grabbed at his left knee while on the turf. The pass was intercepted by Broncos safety Rahim Moore.
Griffin was checked out by Redskins personnel on the sideline, then replaced by backup Kirk Cousins.
Griffin remained on the Redskins’ sideline in the final minutes of Denver’s 45-21 victory.
