So now the Cowboys have two stars not talking, one of a much higher magnitude than the other.

According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, linebacker Rolando McClain was back in camp Tuesday after missing the entire OTA season, but he wasn’t there to talk about it.

McClain joked with reporters that he’d talk when Dez Bryant showed up, which may or may not be soon.

McClain underwent surgery on his knee, and has rehabbed in Alabama rather than with the Cowboys. He did the walk-through with teammates at the beginning of practice then went indoors with trainers. They expect him to be ready when training camp opens July 28.

“When he is healthy and playing, you can see that he can be a good football player,” coach Jason Garrett said. “We tried to create an environment for him to come be his best. We understand where he came from at the University of Alabama. We know those people down there really well and we had great visits with them about how we can help bring out the best in him. And I think he just embraced the opportunity. He was at the right place in his life to focus on football again and was able to step into a void that we had.”

He missed four game last year but had 108 tackles, a productive year for a guy coming out of his latest retirement. The Cowboys brought him back on another one-year deal.
