Sam Bradford settling into his comfort zone with Eagles

Sam Bradford has spent most of the last two seasons watching, so it’s natural that he might need some time to get up to speed.

But the Eagles quarterback said that after his best outing of the season to beat Dallas in overtime that he’s simply getting to know his job better, and that’s making a big difference.

“Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve kind of found what we’re good at,” Bradford said, via Sam Donnellon of the Philadelphia Daily News. “Some pass concepts and things that I’m comfortable with, that we’re comfortable with. We just kind of repped those, so we’ve gotten good at those. We’re just gonna go run those plays on Sunday.

“And I think maybe for a while, it was just finding what it is that this offense, this year, what we’re going to be good at. What we’re going to attack people with.”

Bradford did spent time working on footwork and fundamentals with quarterbacks coach Ryan Day lately, but the improvement might simply be a function of time.

And with Bradford and the Eagles offense warming up, they still have a great chance to be a playoff team despite their 4-4 start, considering the up-and-down (mostly down) nature of the NFL East.
