We pointed out a week ago that free agent wide receiver Sean Morey, who most recently played in Arizona, had paid a visit to Seattle.
There’s been no firm news on the Morey front since then, but multiple reports suggest that Morey is expected to sign with the Seahawks.
Darren Urban of the Cardinals’ official web site wrote this week that Morey is more likely to end up in Seattle than to stay in Arizona. And Mike Sando of ESPN.com reported today, in a story focusing mostly on whether the Seahawks will keep Deion Branch, that the Seahawks are expected to sign Morey.
Prior to signing with the Cardinals, Morey played for the Patriots, Eagles and Steelers. He’s never been much of a contributor on offense -- he has just 11 career receptions -- but has always been an excellent special teams player. He was selected to the Pro Bowl following the 2008 season.
