The Pittsburgh Steelers may or may not win the Super Bowl this year. But they are the champions when it comes to merchandise sold through NFLShop.com.
From April through January 2, the Steelers moved the most merchandise through the league’s online supermarket, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Leading the way was safety Troy Polamalu, who vaulted quarterbacks and skill-position players to have the top-selling jersey in the league.
Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, the leader for much of the year in jersey sales, slid to No. 3. Super Bowl XLIV MVP Drew Brees finished second.
