If Ravens receiver Steve Smith is indeed retiring after the season, it’s possible that he has exited a field for the last time.
Smith went down in Baltimore with an injury to his lower right leg. He immediately pointed to his ankle after landing to the ground following a reception.
He was helped off the field with a towel over his head.
Smith’s agent recently said he believes there’s a 50-50 chance Smith will return in 2016. If Smith misses the rest of 2015 due to the injury suffered on Sunday, it remains to be seen whether that makes him more likely or less likely to return.
