If Patriots coach Bill Belichick truly wants to “move on,” from the Aaron Hernandez talk, he has figured out an effective solution.
More Tebow.
Belichick mentioned this morning that Tim Tebow wasn’t locked into playing quarterback exclusively, saying: “we’ll use Tim where ever we feel like is best for the team.”
And once practice started, that was proven true.
According to multiple tweets from reporters on the scene, Tebow was catching some passes in addition to his quarterback reps, and lining up with backs and receivers in another drill.
There were no reports of Tom Brady catching passes.
The Patriots are running short enough for targets in the passing game that anything might help.
But using Tebow as a good old-fashioned distraction might be his most valuable role at the moment.
