We recently posted an item on the 2010 UFL schedule, which features one more team than 2009 but, as a practical matter, no more games per week.
The slate features two games per week, and one team getting a bye. In the end, each team will play eight games over ten weeks.
But we’re told that another team is expected to be added, possibly as soon as June. The next team won’t play in 2010. Instead, it will join the league officially in 2011, probably with two other teams.
We’re also hearing that Salt Lake City is one of the potential locations for a new team.
So if there’s a work stoppage next year (and we don’t believe there will be one), there will be eight UFL teams on which any potentially interested NFL players could earn some walkin'-around money.
