Less than three weeks after the effort to build a new Vikings stadium was dead in the water, the Minnesota Legislature has given its blessing to the project.
Per multiple reports, the Senate passed the final version of the bill, by a vote of 36-30.
The measure now moves to the Governor’s desk, where Mark Dayton’s pen is poised to sign it.
The plan still must be officially approved by the Minneapolis City Council. That isn’t believed to be a serious obstacle.
For now.
