The Panthers waived a pair of 2016 draft picks on Saturday, but both of them are back with the organization on Sunday.
The Panthers announced that fifth-round cornerback Zack Sanchez and seventh-round tight end Beau Sandland have both opted to sign to their practice squad.
Sanchez was one of three fifth-round picks to get cut around the league on the way to 53 players and Vikings offensive lineman Willie Beavers was the only player drafted before Sanchez to hit the waiver wire. The Panthers kept the other two corners they drafted -- James Bradberry and Daryl Worley -- on their 53-man roster.
Sanchez and Sandland are joined on the practice squad by wide receiver Keyaris Garrett and running back Jalen Simmons as rookies on the practice squad. Safety Marcus Ball, linebacker Brian Blechen, defensive tackle Eric Crume, safety Travell Dixon, defensive end Larry Webster and guard David Yankey round out the players who have been signed.
All of the players went through the preseason with Carolina before being cut.
