UCLA redshirt senior DB Qwuantrezz Knight will return to school for the 2021 season.
After joining the UCLA program as a grad transfer from Kent State, Knight (6'0/195) had himself a solid 2020 campaign. In seven games, the redshirt senior tallied 40 total tackles (28 solo, 4.5 for loss), 1.0 quarterback sacks, one fumble recover, two quarterback hurries and two pass breakups. As a result, Knight was given honorable mention all-Pac-12 honors.

Former Kent State redshirt senior S Qwuantrezz Knight transferred to UCLA as a graduate.
Knight (6'0/190) broke out for a career year with the Golden Flashes in 2019, logging 74 tackles (10.5 for loss), 1.5 sacks, two passes defensed and one forced fumble across 11 games played. This move to UCLA marks the second transfer of the redshirt senior’s collegiate career, as he started out with Maryland before scooting over to Kent State last winter (an NCAA waiver allowed him to play in the fall).

Kent State redshirt junior S Qwuantrezz Knight (knee) has returned to their game against Utah State.
Knight got his knee caught in the turf while making a tackle, but has shaken it off and is back out on the field for Kent State’s first defensive possession of the second-half. He already has a sack in the game and his presence in the KSU secondary is vital for their chances of victory.

Kent State redshirt junior S Qwuantrezz Knight suffered a leg injury against Utah State Friday.
Knight (6'0/190) gained immediate eligibility to play at Kent State after transferring from Maryland in the offseason because of the havoc former Terps HC DJ Durkin inflicted on the program. Knight recorded 65 tackles, 43 solo, 2 passes defensed and one forced fumble in ten games for the Golden Flashes. We will update the situation as more news becomes available.

The NCAA has granted Kent State redshirt junior S Qwuantrezz Knight’s appeal for immediate eligibility this fall.
The governing body had shot down Knight’s initial eligibility request, but in a nice beat for Kent State, his appeal actually panned out in the end. He gains eligibility on the basis of his suffering from depression symptoms at Maryland, stemming from the horrid culture fostered by former HC DJ Durkin. The 6-foot, 190-pound redshirt junior transferred from Terps to the Golden Flashes over the winter. He figures to serve as a depth cog at Kent State after logging 41 career tackles in 22 games at Maryland.

Kent State redshirt junior S Qwuantrezz Knight is appealing the NCAA’s decision to deny him immediate eligibility.
Knight (6'0/190) transferred over from Maryland to Kent State back in January. He was seeking an eligibility waiver on the basis of “depression symptoms” which he claims to have come about due to the environment fostered by former Terps HC D.J. Durkin. The NCAA denied his initial waiver request due to the fact that he did not provide “objective documentation that supports the assertion that [he] was the victim of egregious behavior.” We will pass along word one way or another when a decision comes down on this appeal. Knight played in 22 games while at Maryland, recording 41 total tackles in that space.

Kent State redshirt junior S Qwantrezz Knight is ineligible for 2019.
Knight applied for a waiver from the NCAA arguing he was forced to transfer after being exposed to “egregious behavior” while at Maryland. The NCAA didn’t see enough “objective documentation” of the events Knight outlined, so he’ll have to sit out the upcoming season. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess on how the NCAA will apply their transfer waivers. Knight will be back in 2020, and he should have a starting spot waiting for him.

Redshirt junior S Qwuantrezz Knight transferred from Maryland to Kent State.
Knight played in 22 games for the Terrapins as a backup safety as a freshman and sophomore, and after appearing in four games for Maryland in 2018, he elected to transfer. That means he gets to redshirt, and if he leaves with his degree, he’ll be eligible to play immediately. If not, he’ll sit out the 2019 season and have one more year of eligibility left.
