    Ghent was behind Mark Campbell, Eric Johnson, and Billy Miller. Aside from Petitti, the rest of these players were just in camp for depth.

    New Orleans now has five tight ends on its roster. Ghent’s re-acquisition may mean Mark Campbell (back) will sit out the regular-season opener.

    The Saints still have another round of cuts coming. Schulters’ dismissal indicates that Josh Bullocks is healthy, but he still isn’t a starter.

    Ghent had been on Cincinnati’s illustrious practice squad.
