    Georgia Tech senior DB Tariq Carpenter accepted an invite to the Senior Bowl.
    Carpenter (6'4/225) is a late add to the roster and will be coached by the Lions staff in Mobile next week. A multi-year starter at safety for the Yellow Jackets, Carpenter was a stalwart player, amassing 223 tackles, 17 passes defended, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles in his career.

  • Georgia Tech senior DB Tariq Carpenter was ejected from Saturday’s game at Clemson for targeting.
    Carpenter (6'4/225) was ejected during the fourth quarter, which means that he’ll have to sit out the first half the Yellow Jackets’ next game. Georgia Tech is scheduled to host North Carolina on September 25.

  • Georgia Tech sophomore DB Tariq Carpenter (upper body) is considered to be questionable to return to Saturday’s game against North Carolina.
    Carpenter, who suffered the injury during the third quarter, made the start at strong safety for the Yellow Jackets Saturday afternoon. The sophomore was replaced in the lineup by redshirt freshman Kaleb Oliver, who accounted for 17 total tackles (nine solo, eight assists) in Georgia Tech’s first eight games of the season.
