Buffalo redshirt senior TE Tyler Mabry transferred to Maryland as a graduate.
Mabry (6'3/255) hauled in a career best 27 passes last season, good for 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns recorded over the course of 11 games played. He will jostle for depth chart positioning alongside Chigoziem Okonkwo, Noah Barnes and Andrew Park (among others) now that he has transferred over to HC Mike Locksley’s outfit.
  • SEA Tight End #85
Buffalo redshirt senior TE Tyler Mabry, redshirt sophomore WR Charlie Jones and redshirt senior RB Emmanuel Reed have all entered their names into the NCAA Transfer Portal.
To lose Mabry would be a big deal for the Bulls, as the redshirt senior was a first team All-MAC selection in 2018. Last season he appeared in 14 games, catching 27 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns. Buffalo’s passing game has already taken hits this offseason, as QB Tyree Jackson entered the NFL Draft and WR K.J. Osborn transferred to Miami (FL).
  • SEA Tight End #85
Buffalo redshirt sophomore TE Tyler Mabry caught two passes for 31 yards and a touchdown in the team’s spring game.
Mabry (6'3/255) hauled in a modest nine passes for 95 yards this past season. That was while backing up TE Mason Schreck, who the Bulls lost to graduation after the campaign. He should have plenty of opportunities for targets, not only due to Schreck’s exiting stage left, but also the mere fact that the Bulls can use all the help they can get offensively. Rotoworld’s Thor Nystrom ranks Mabry as the No. 29 tight end for college fantasy leagues.
