Seahawks signed RB Vai Taua to a reserve/future contract.
Undrafted last April out of Nevada, where he teamed with Colin Kaepernick and Virgil Green, Taua spent most of his rookie year on Seattle’s practice squad. Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett are impending unrestricted free agents, but Taua still figures to have a tough time cracking the 53-man roster in 2012.

    Seahawks re-signed RB Vai Taua.
Taua has two rushed for 15 yards so far in the preseason. The undrafted rookie from Nevada will be the Seahawks’ fifth running back for the time being.

    Seahawks waived RB Vai Taua.
He goes to make room for LB David Vobora. Taua was Colin Kaepernick’s running back at Nevada, putting up outrageous yards-per-carry numbers but lacking NFL-caliber physical tools. He won’t be worth much of a look on waivers.

Seahawks signed RB Vai Taua and LB Michael Johnson.
Taua went undrated out of Nevada after racking up 4,400 rushing yards and 52 TDs the past three seasons. A 4.62 forty at the Combine did him no favors. Johnson, the 2009 Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Year, was just waived by Seattle last week. They’ve apparently had a change of heart.
