Falcons DL Vincent Taylor ruptured his Achilles, the team announced on Tuesday.
Taylor joined the Falcons this offseason after a torn Achilles ended his 2021 campaign with the Texans. Sidelined for the 2022 season, Taylor was expected to serve as a run-stuff interior lineman for a Falcons defense that ranked fourth worst against the run last season per PFF.

Falcons signed DL Vincent Taylor, formerly of the Texans.
Taylor, known as a run stuffing interior lineman, missed almost the entire 2021 season after suffering a torn Achilles tendon in Week 1. He’ll join a Falcons defense graded by Pro Football Focus as the league’s fourth worst run-stopping unit.

Free agent DT Vincent Taylor is visiting the Falcons on Tuesday.
Taylor is well-regarded as a run stuffer, but is coming off a season-ending torn Achilles in Week 1 with the Texans. The Falcons could use an early-downs player next to Grady Jarrett, so this could be a good fit for Taylor.

HoustonTexans.com’s John Harris notes that Vincent Taylor tore his Achilles in Week 1’s win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Taylor went on IR with an “ankle” injury after the game and was “expected to miss 6-8 weeks,” but somehow never returned all season. This explains why. Taylor will be a depth run-stuffing lineman available in free agency this year.

Texans signed DT Vincent Taylor, formerly of the Browns, to a one-year, $2.0 million contract.
Taylor receives $850,000 in guarantees and figures to be a rotational interior defensive lineman in Houston. This will Taylor’s fourth team in as many years, and he’s never been an every-week starter.

Free agent DT Vincent Taylor visited the Bills Wednesday.
Miami’s sixth-round pick in ’17, Taylor was a surprise cut over the weekend given his respectable presence as a run-stuffer in the middle of the Dolphins’ d-line. The Bills are stacked up front, but Taylor’s an intriguing talent who can likely be contracted for peanuts. He’ll have a home before Sunday.

    Dolphins waived DT Vincent Taylor.
DT John Jenkins was signed in the corresponding roster move. Taylor was a bright spot for the Dolphins last year before a foot injury cost him the entire second half. A bruising run-stopper also capable of putting heat on opposing QBs (two sacks last year), Taylor won’t be out of work for long.

Dolphins placed DT Vincent Taylor on injured reserve with a foot injury.
The second-year pro was carted from last Thursday’s loss to the Texans. Taylor had been providing quality snaps as a rotational run stuffer. He’s just the latest injury loss for the Dolphins’ bombed out defensive line. Next to nothing has gone right for coach Adam Gase’s team in 2018.

Dolphins selected Oklahoma State DT Vincent Taylor with the No. 194 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
Taylor (6’3/304) turned pro as a redshirt junior after tallying 22.5 career tackles for loss, 12 sacks, and a school-record five blocked kicks. He led all Big 12 interior defensive linemen in sacks (7.0) in 2016. Taylor has long arms (34 3/8") and big hands (10 1/8") and was a dominant power player in college, pushing the pocket with bull-rush moves and wielding heavy hands. More of a one-gap nose tackle, Taylor has room for improvement as a run defender. He should offer the floor of a quality wave tackle and the upside of a three-down starter.
