With the Cowboys still having timing problems with their first-team offense, Vinny Testaverde is expected to play nearly all of the first half tonight.
“I think he’s in good condition,” coach Bill Parcells said. “He still obviously can pass the ball. I just think it’s a timing issue a little bit. Getting behind the center. Vinny has a tendency to want to do everything perfectly. I have a tendency to want to get the ball out of his hands. That’s a little conflict.”

Vinny Testaverde sat out practice Thursday because of flu-like symptoms.
He’ll still start Sunday versus Baltimore.
  • CAR Quarterback
Vinny Testaverde played most of the second half of Monday Night’s game with a concussion.
At least he won’t be able to remember his interceptions. Does it seem ridiculous to anyone else that NFL player can perform so well despite mid-game concussions?

Vinny Testaverde is contemplating another season, and Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones said that could be as the starting QB in Dallas.
“Yes, that is possible,” Jones said, when asked if Testaverde could begin the 2005 season as the starter, with Drew Henson and possibly Tony Romo as the backups. “Obviously, there are a lot of circumstances at work there. But Vinny has been impressive. He has been everything that Bill sold him to me on, at least at this juncture.” Just the fact Jones would say this indicates a belief that Drew Henson just isn’t ready.

Vinny Testaverde will play next year, but hasn’t decided whether it will be for the Cowboys.
It’s by far the most likely scenario. But Vinny could try to get a backup job with a better team if he so choose. The Patriots showed interest last year.
  • CAR Quarterback
Vinny Testaverde is interested in re-joining the Jets.
The first sign that Parcells doesn’t really want Vinny back? We think so. The Cowboys want to win now and may be serious players if Drew Brees, Matt Hasselbeck, and/or Drew Bledsoe become available.
  • CAR Quarterback
The Cowboys have shown no interest in re-signing Testaverde.
Vinny says he’d sign tomorrow if the Cowboys showed serious interest. But it’s looking likely that Bill Parcells wants to see how the QB market shakes out first. Drew Bledsoe, Drew Brees, Matt Hasselbeck, and Kelly Holcomb are among quarterbacks who could Dallas could go after.
  • CAR Quarterback
The NY Daily News is reporting that Vinny Testaverde will become a member of the Dallas Cowboys next season.
Testaverde makes sense as a backup in Dallas with his old coach Bill Parcells. He could challenge Quincy Carter in camp, while mentoring Drew Henson. That doesn’t mean dynasty fantasy teams should pick up the 40-year old.
  • CAR Quarterback
The Cowboys have told Vinny Testaverde they want him back with the Cowboys next season.
Vinny reportedly wants to return as well. The Cowboys expect to return the same three quarterbacks back next season, with Drew Henson and Tony Romo challenging Testaverde for the starting job.

Vinny Testaverde will start versus the Redskins Sunday.
Tony Romo will be “ready” if necessary. Good news for Jason Witten owners.
