When the New York Rangers play the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday night they will be without the talents of forward Chris Kreider for the fourth consecutive game as he deals with a neck injury.

Coach Alain Vigneault said on Sunday morning that Krieder, who took part in the morning skate, could return to the lineup on Tuesday when the team hosts the St. Louis Blues.

Vigneault added, via Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post, that Kreider was “flying” during the skate on Sunday morning but that the forward needs a full practice before returning to the lineup.

He has not played since Oct. 22, a 4-2 Rangers win over the Washington Capitals.

Before he was sidelined Kreider had been off to an incredible start to the season with seven points (three goals, four assists) in five games.
