Shaun White‘s latest trick? Bringing winter sports to the Rose Bowl.

The two-time Olympic halfpipe champion’s Air & Style series is coming to Pasadena, Calif., from Feb. 21-22. White purchased a majority share of Air & Style a year ago and is bringing the series to the U.S. for the first time.

White, who hasn’t competed since placing fourth in the halfpipe in Sochi but is motivated to continue in the sport, said he won’t be competing in his Air & Style event because it’s a “lose-lose” situation.

“If I win my own event, it’s a little fishy,” he said, according to the Los Angeles Times. “If I lose, it looks even worse.”

White will still be on hand. His band, Bad Things, will be one of the musical acts at the festival-like event.

Air & Style has traditionally involved snowboarding big air competitions -- an event hopeful to join the Olympic program -- but skiing big air will be added for the Pasadena competition.

Olympic ski slopestyle champion Joss Christensen, snowboard slopestyle bronze medalist Mark McMorris and Olympic slopestyle skier Bobby Brown were on hand for a press conference Friday. Olympic snowboard slopestyle champion Sage Kotsenburg also signed on for the Rose Bowl event, according to the Los Angeles Times.
