In its pre-Olympic exhibition series, the U.S. men’s basketball team will face the last team it lost to in Olympic competition.

The U.S. will face 2004 Olympic champion Argentina, China twice, Venezuela and Nigeria from July 22-Aug. 1 in a series of five games across the U.S.

That will come after the 12-man Olympic team is named.

Argentina, China, Venezuela and Nigeria are all qualified for the 12-team Olympic tournament.

Argentina -- July 22 in Las Vegas
China -- July 24 in Los Angeles (Staples Center)
China -- July 26 in Oakland (Oracle Arena)
Venezuela -- July 29 in Chicago (United Center)
Nigeria -- Aug. 1 in Houston (Toyota Center)

The U.S. has won 17 straight Olympic games since falling to Argentina in the semifinals at Athens 2004, where the Americans lost three games overall.

The Rio Olympic basketball tournament starts Aug. 6.
