Cowboys signed Mississippi State WR Osirus Mitchell.
Mitchell (6'5/206) is a five-year player who started for three seasons in Starkville. He finished his career with no accolades of note but racked up 107 catches for 1,413 yards and 14 touchdowns. Thanks to HC MIke Leach taking over in 2020, Mitchell got to show different shades of playing over his career. He was initially more of a downfield jump ball guy before becoming more of a short-area move-the-chains bully in the Air Raid. Athletically, Mitchell’s profile is as odd as it gets. He crushed the jump drills, particularly the broad jump at 128 inches. Mitchell tested poorly elsewhere, though, and ultimately finished with a middling 5.87 RAS. Mitchell could be a tall jump ball guy similar to Jaleel Scott, but he will be a fifth or sixth WR on the depth chart in the league.
