Browns signed K Patrick Murray, formerly of the Bucs.
Murray was excellent for the Bucs in 2014, but he lost his job to Kyle Brindza last season and spent the year out of the league. He was waived by the Bucs again in May after they laughably traded up in the second round to pick Roberto Aguayo. Murray is strong competition for Travis Coons.

Browns placed K Patrick Murray on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.
Cody Parkey was signed to replace him. Murray injured the same knee which required season-ending ACL surgery last season during Friday’s walkthrough. He could be headed for another surgery. The Browns need to figure out how they angered Apollo.

    Bucs waived K Patrick Murray.
Murray was excellent in 2014, but the Bucs bafflingly went with Kyle Brindza last season (before ultimately releasing him, too). Murray’s second release was a fait accompli after the Bucs went full Bryan Anger and made Roberto Aguayo a second-round pick. (Kind of hilariously, the Bucs now have Anger, too.)

Free agent K Patrick Murray is working out for the Jaguars.
He’ll be joined by ex-Bills kicker Dan Carpenter. The Jags are bringing in competition for Jason Myers, who has made just 1-of-4 field goals with a long of 27 yards in his first two preseason games. Murray spent a week with the Saints this summer but was cut on August 12.

Saints signed K Patrick Murray, formerly of the Browns.
He will compete with Will Lutz for the starting job this preseason.

    Saints waived K Patrick Murray.
New Orleans also parted ways with Dejaun Butler, Rashad Lawrence, and Robenson Therezie. The Saints appear to be sticking with Will Lutz at kicker.

Patrick Murray will be the Bucs’ kicker again this season.
Murray went 20-of-24 on field goals as a rookie, a mark that included an impressive 5-of-6 from 50+ and 6-of-7 from 40+. He’ll be on the streamer radar this year with Jameis Winston likely to end up in a lot of shootouts.

Bucs signed K Brandon Bogotay and waived C Ben Gottschalk.
Bogotay, who played behind Blair Walsh at Georgia, will try to push incumbent Patrick Murray.

    Bucs signed K Patrick Murray.
The Bucs’ 2014 kicker, Murray made two appearances for the 2016 Browns. His career has been derailed by knee injuries. Still only 26, the Bucs are now betting on Murray’s good health. It’s hard to see how he could be worse than Roberto Aguayo and Nick Folk.

Undrafted rookie Patrick Murray appears to have won the Bucs’ kicking job.
Connor Barth was cut Friday, leaving Murray as Tampa’s lone placekicker. The Bucs reportedly appreciate Murray’s “toughness and versatility.” He comes from Fordham, where Murray was an All-American punter and kicker. Barring a free agent signing, Murray should be on the radar for K1 streamers this year.
