Six of 10 WNBA All-Star Game Starters Expected to Compete Across NBC Sports This Week
STAMFORD, Conn. – July 8, 2026 – Two-time WNBA All-Star Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever (12-8) visit four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson and the defending champion Las Vegas Aces (15-6) in the return of Sunday Night Basketball from Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., this Sunday, July 12, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
The star-studded matchup headlines three consecutive days of WNBA coverage for NBC Sports, including back-to-back games in Las Vegas on Saturday and Sunday. Those games will feature WNBA Showtime live on-site coverage featuring Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers and analysts Sue Bird and Cheryl Miller with host Maria Taylor.
Over the course of NBC Sports’ three games this week, six of the 10 WNBA All-Star Game starters are expected to compete, including Indiana’s Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Aliyah Boston; Las Vegas’ A’ja Wilson; and Minnesota’s Natasha Howard and Olivia Miles.
FEVER-ACES
The Fever are coming off a 16-point win over the Aces on Sunday, with three-time WNBA All-Star Kelsey Mitchell scoring a game-high 27 points. Both Wilson and Clark did not play due to injuries. Clark is en route to another All-Star campaign, ranking second in the WNBA in assists (8.2 APG) and third in scoring (21.2 PPG). Mitchell, coming off a 2025 season that saw her earn her first All-WNBA First Team selection, ranks second in the league in scoring (21.9 PPG), making her and Clark the only pair of teammates both in the top five in scoring. Clark is expected to compete on Sunday after missing the Fever’s last two games due to a back injury.
Clark, Mitchell, and center Aliyah Boston were all announced as starters for the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game last week. This is Clark’s third consecutive All-Star selection and both Mitchell and Boston’s fourth consecutive.
The Aces (15-6) are tied for first in the WNBA standings as they aim to defend their championship. Wilson, the two-time defending WNBA MVP, leads the WNBA in scoring with 25.7 points per game – nearly four more points on average than runner-up Kelsey Mitchell.
When they have both played, Wilson is undefeated in head-to-head matchups against Clark, leading the all-time series 5-0.
Former Elon University basketball player Zora Stephenson (play-by-play), former DePaul basketball player Sarah Kustok (analyst), and Ashley ShahAhmadi (courtside reporter) will call Fever-Aces.

Howard and Miles were both named as starters in the WNBA All-Star Game, with the latter being the only rookie out of the 10 selected players. Miles ranks 11th in the WNBA in scoring (18.7 PPG), leading all rookies. Three-time WNBA champion Natasha Howard, in her first season with the Lynx after spending the 2025 season with the Fever, is the 2019 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year and a two-time WNBA All-Defensive First Team selection.
