NBC Sports to Present Live Coverage of U.S. Gymnastics Championships from Aug. 6-9 on NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN
STAMFORD, Conn. – July 15, 2026 – Two-time Olympic gold medalist Jade Carey headlines NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2026 U.S. Gymnastics Classic from PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford, Conn., this Saturday, July 18, in primetime at 7 p.m. ET on Peacock and NBCSN, with an encore presentation on NBC the following day at 4 p.m. ET.
Carey, who did not compete in elite gymnastics last year, is amid a comeback this season that could potentially set her up for an impressive third Olympic team. The 26-year-old is the Tokyo Olympic floor exercise gold medalist and, more recently, was also part of the gold-medal winning team at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She also earned the bronze medal in vault at the Paris Games, registering a score of 14.466 in the final.
A number of elite U.S. athletes are expected to compete this weekend, including reigning world all-around silver medalist Leanne Wong, two-time world champion Skye Blakely, 2025 Pan American team champion Dulcy Caylor, and Katelyn Ohashi, who recently announced a return to elite gymnastics after a 13-year hiatus. During her time away from elite competition, she earned four NCAA medals at UCLA, including two championships.
This weekend’s event is the final opportunity for women’s gymnasts to qualify for the 2026 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships from Aug. 6-9 at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Ariz., where athletes will compete for spots on the U.S. National Team and the 2026 Artistic World Championships team. NBC Sports will present live coverage of the event across NBC, Peacock, and NBCSN, with further details to be announced at a later date.
Three-time U.S. Olympic gymnast John Roethlisberger will serve as play-by-play this weekend alongside 2008 Beijing Olympic team silver medalist Samantha Peszek and 2016 Rio Olympic team gold medalist Laurie Hernandez. Britney Eurton will serve as reporter.
