Buccaneers signed S Raven Greene, formerly of the Packers.
Greene is coming off a three-year stint in Green Bay that saw him earn just one start. He did manage to snag an interception and five pass defenses last year while serving in a rotational role. Greene is a solid depth signing for the Bucs but doesn’t figure to see much playing time on defense right away. Assuming he makes the roster, he’ll contribute on special teams to open the year. The Bucs also signed former Broncos linebacker Joe Jones, another special teamer.

Packers did not tender restricted free agent S Raven Greene.
Greene is now an unrestricted free agent. The Packers could re-sign him if his market is dry. The 26-year-old has just one season of NFL production due to injury. He’s a complete dice roll and should be paid near the veteran minimum with the salary cap down.

Packers activated S Raven Greene (ankle) from injured reserve.
Greene has practiced already and has a shot at suiting up for tomorrow’s NFC Championship game. The young safety will contribute on defense and special teams if he’s cleared to play. His activation doesn’t change the outlook of anyone on the 49ers, including George Kittle who had a monster game against Green Bay earlier in the season.

When asked if S Raven Greene (I.R., ankle) could return for the the Packers’ Divisional Round game next week, coach Matt LaFleur said, “Potentially.”
Greene resumed practicing Thursday after the Packers designated him for return. The team will track his progress throughout the next week and a half before determining his status for Green Bay’s playoff opener. Greene hasn’t seen the field since injuring his ankle in Week 2.

Packers placed SS Raven Greene (ankle) on injured reserve.
Greene’s season is presumably over. Darnell Savage and Adrian Amos are the Pack’s top-two remaining safties.

Packers SS Raven Greene was carted from Sunday’s game against the Vikings with an ankle injury.
Greene, who began the season with a starting job, was soon ruled out. It’s the second straight year Greene has dealt with ankle issues. This one had the looks of a season-ender. Greene had been playing a bit of a hybrid role. Darnell Savage and Adrian Amos are the Pack’s top-two remaining safties.
  • FA Defensive Back #41
Packers S Raven Greene was forced from Thursday’s game against the Seahawks with an ankle injury and will not return.
Greene is an UDFA out of small-school James Madison. Ordinarily, his loss would not be noteworthy, but the Packers have been ravaged by trade and injury at safety.
