Webber

The former Arkansas-Pine Bluff star was just claimed off waivers from the Bucs a week ago.

Undrafted out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Webber was in camp with the Bucs last summer before tearing all three of his hamstring tendons during practice. Although he’s now healthy, the Bucs no longer had the roster space to carry him.

Webber spent the 2011 season on injured reserve after going undrafted out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He led the FCS in receiving with 1,429 yards in addition to 101 receptions and 10 touchdowns as a senior in 2010. Webber has practice squad eligibility and should make a run for a spot there in Seattle.

Undrafted out of Arkansas Pine-Bluff last year, Webber was claimed and subsequently released by Seattle last month. He also had a tryout with the Eagles last week. Webber is a practice squad candidate for the Jets. Berning was undrafted out of Central Michigan last year.

Gang Green is getting an early start on Monday’s cut-down from 90 to 75 players. Undrafted out of Arkansas Pine-Bluff last year, Webber has now been waived three times in three months. Jackson hasn’t appeared in a game since 2008.

A fourth-year undrafted free agent out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Webber entered the league as a wide receiver. He’s never appeared in a regular-season game. He’s an extreme long-shot to crack the 53-man roster.

Undrafted out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Webber revealed that he tore all three of his hamstring tendons on the practice field in training camp. It’s an injury he should be able to recover from fully, but obviously clouds his NFL future.
