Reggie Perry played 30 minutes off the bench in Wednesday’s 98-96 loss to the Mavericks, posting a line of 20 points (7-of-9 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 17 rebounds, three assists, one block, and one 3-pointer.
Perry, who recorded his second double-double of Summer League on Wednesday, is looking to make a positive impression as he remains a free agent. The 2020 second-round pick played in the G League last season, appearing in 24 games for Raptors 905 and the Motor City Cruise. The Warriors have yet to make any decisions regarding their three two-way contract slots, and Perry’s play in Las Vegas could have him in the conversation for one of them.

Brandin Podziemski finished Friday’s 103-96 loss to the Lakers with nine points (3-of-10 FGs, 2-of-5 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block, and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes.
Podziemski couldn’t get many shots to fall on Friday, but he made up for that by contributing in other areas. His 11 rebounds were tied for most on the team with Reggie Perry (11 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block), and they were also the only two Warriors to record full stat lines. The poor shooting and turnover count (five) wasn’t great, but Podziemski was better in his second California Classic game than his first. It would not be surprising if that proved to be the case in Las Vegas as well.
  • Shooting Guard #50
Jay Scrubb shot just 7-of-17 from the field but posted a useful line including 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block, one 3-pointer and two turnovers in a loss to the Heat on Saturday.
The Clippers blew an 18-point lead which lines up given their sloppy play late. In four prior Summer League appearances before this evening, Scrubb averaged 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.0 three-pointer per game, but he did convert on just 38.6% of his shots. He took a small step in the right direction tonight as far as his shooting is concerned, so at least he ended on a high note in that aspect. The Clippers may have the most guards out of any team in the entire league and Scrubb is close to the bottom of the barrel, so it would take at least a few injuries for him to become a relevant fantasy asset. Reggie Perry and Xavier Moon also scored 16 points apiece with very similar lines to Scrubb’s, and the loss put LAC at a 2-3 record in this Summer League.

Reggie Perry scored 20 points on 9-of-17 shooting (1-of-4 3-pointers) to go with eight rebounds, five assists, and two blocks in 33 minutes, but the Blazers lost to the Jazz 111-80 on Sunday night.
The ship has officially sunk in Portland, and the tank is complete as they have now lost 11-straight games to conclude the season. They were able to get a good look at a lot of young players this season, and they will head into the off-season tasked with putting a competitive roster around Damian Lillard. We will have updates on that front as they come throughout the offseason.

  • NBA Power Forward #10
The Portland Trail Blazers will start Brandon Williams, Keon Johnson, Didi Louzada, CJ Elleby and Reggie Perry in Sunday’s finale against the Jazz.
The Blazers have a whopping 11 guys listed as out for Sunday’s finale, and with the way things have been going, don’t be surprised if one of these guys the majority of people have never heard of goes off out of nowhere. Louzada and Perry will get the first starts of their careers, but Williams, Johnson and Greg Brown (who will come off the bench) are the only somewhat proven guys in this list. Proceed with plenty of caution as the Blazers try to lose their last game of a forgettable season.

  • SAC Power Forward #15
Drew Eubanks (right wrist sprain) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jazz.
Eubanks has been as close to a reliable fantasy option as the Blazers have had since the front office decided to rev up the tank. His sitting on Sunday would free up additional minutes for Reggie Perry and Didi Louzada, with one of those two moving into the starting lineup. Perry would be the better streaming option of the two, but neither choice is great as far as fantasy is concerned.

  • NBA Power Forward #10
Reggie Perry set career-highs in steals with four and blocks with two, while scoring 15 points to go with three rebounds and one assist, but the Blazers lost 127-94 on Thursday night.
Perry was great on the defensive end in this one, but he also shot the ball well. The former Mississippi State standout shot 7-of-10 from the floor and made his only free-throw attempt on the night. Perry has now tallied seven steals over his last three games, so if you need some production in that category, he could be worth a look for the final two games.

  • BKN Small Forward #45
Keon Johnson scored 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting (4-of-6 3-pointers) to go with three rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 25 minutes of Friday’s loss to the Spurs.
It’s s different guy every night it seems for the Blazers, and they got ran off the floor in this one. The 20 points were a career-high for the rookie, who lead the Blazers in scoring on Friday. Brandon Williams added 17 points on 4-of-10 shooting (6-of-7 free throws) to go with three triples, three assists, four rebounds, and one steal in 29 minutes. Reggie Perry scored 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting (1-of-2 3-pointers) and grabbed 10 rebounds with one block in 19 minutes.

  • NBA Power Forward #10
Reggie Perry (ineligible to play) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Perry signed a 10-day contract via hardship exemption recently. And with Domantas Sabonis (protocols) back in action, Perry is ineligible to appear in games.

  • NBA Power Forward #10
The Blazers plan to sign Reggie Perry to a 10-day hardship deal, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Perry played 26 games for the Nets in 2020-2021 and averaged 3.0 points in 8.1 minutes per game. He was since been playing for the Raptors 905 in the G-League and has averaged 19.7 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. He will give the Blazers some size and depth down low, but he isn’t expected to produce much from a fantasy basketball standpoint.
