    Ohrnberger started the last two weeks at center in place of Lyle Sendlein, who is also on injured reserve. Ohrnberger was injured in the first half of yesterday’s thumping from Seattle. Scott Wedige came in to replace him at center, but the Cardinals could be on the lookout for a more experienced lineman.

    Ohrnberger started four games, two at center and two at right guard, for the Cardinals last season before ending the year on injured reserve with a knee injury. The 27-year-old has appeared in 18 career games. At 6-foot-2 and 300 pounds, he’s a good fit as a backup in the new zone-blocking scheme.

    Rinehart played just 16 snaps last week before leaving with the foot injury. Per the Union-Tribune San Diego, Rinehart is out for “at least” this week. Veteran Rich Ohrnberger will start in his place.

    Ohrnberger made one start at right guard last season, playing 210 offensive snaps in total. At 6-foot-2 and 291 pounds, he’s well undersized but received positive marks as a run blocker from Pro Football Focus. Ohrnberger will return as the top backup along the interior of San Diego’s offensive line.
