Red Sox released 1B Roberto Ramos.
Ramos signed a minor league contract with the Red Sox back in February after spending the last two years overseas with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization. The 27-year-old slugger, who has yet to reach the majors, was hitting .158/.287/.342 with five homers to go along with 54 strikeouts in 143 plate appearances this season at Triple-A Worcester.

Red Sox reassigned INF’s Ryan Fitzgerald and Roberto Ramos, C’s Roldani Baldwin and Kole Cottam, RHP’s Silvino Bracho, Taylor Cole, Michael Feliz, Darrin Gillies, Geoff Hartlieb and Zack Kelly to minor league camp.
There are some prominent names with major-league experience among this group including Bracho, Cole, Feliz and Hartlieb. It’s possible several of these relievers are back up in Boston at some point this upcoming season.

Red Sox signed 1B Roberto Ramos to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Ramos, 27, popped 38 home runs for the LG Twins in Korea in 2020 but wasn’t nearly as productive during an abbreviated stint with them in 2021. He’s a former Rockies farmhand who hasn’t played in a major league game.

Roberto Ramos has officially re-signed with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization.
There was some thought that Ramos might try his hand again in MLB-affiliated ball after he posted a shiny .954 OPS with 38 home runs and 86 RBI in 117 games this past summer in the KBO, but he’ll stay in South Korea on what appears to be a one-year deal. The soon-to-be 26-year-old slugger is a former Rockies prospect.

Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News confirms that the LG Twins will aim to re-sign Roberto Ramos.
Ramos joined on with the LG Twins in late January and then absolutely lit up the KBO, delivering a .954 OPS with 38 home runs and 86 RBI in 117 games. The 25-year-old slugger -- and former Rockies prospect -- might wait until the dust settles on MLB’s designed hitter rule before making a decision on where to sign this winter.

Roberto Ramos is headed to the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Ramos, 25, batted .309/.400/.580 with 30 homers over 127 games with the Rockies’ Triple-A affiliate last season. There was some thought he would be claimed in December’s Rule 5 Draft. He wasn’t chosen, but it turns out he’s leaving the organization anyway.
