The 30-year-old southpaw had his finest season overseas in 2021, posting a terrific 2.80 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 114/30 K/BB ratio over 106 innings in his 19 starts. It’s unclear if he had any interest in returning stateside -- where he hasn’t pitched since reaching the Triple-A level during the 2018 season.

Bollinger was up with the Yankees twice this season but never made an appearance. The lefty pitched in independent ball and in Australia from 2014-17.

Bollinger was only up in the majors for one game and did not make an appearance. The 27-year-old left-hander might get another shot as a September callup, but we probably won’t see him again before then.

Like Shane Robinson, Bollinger also passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment on September 1. The 27-year-old had a 3.87 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 97/33 K/BB ratio across 111 2/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this year.

Bollinger had a brief stint on the major league roster back in May, but didn’t make an appearance. The 27-year-old has put up a 4.76 ERA and 68/27 K/BB ratio in 75 2/3 innings over 14 starts between Double- and Triple-A this season. He figures to operate in middle relief.

The 27-year-old southpaw is being sent out to make room for Adeiny Hechavarria on the 40-man roster. Bollinger owns a 3.87 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 97/33 K/BB ratio across 111 2/3 innings between Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He could pass through waivers unclaimed and continue to function as organizational rotation depth for the Yankees.

Bollinger was already optioned back to the minors last week and now finds himself off the 40-man roster. The southpaw didn’t make an appearance while up with the big club.

Bollinger was a member of the Yankees for about 18 hours. The 27-year-old didn’t get a chance to pitch for New York and will return to Trenton where he owns a 0.90 ERA over 20 innings with the Thunder.

Bollinger had registered a 0.90 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, and 13/4 K/BB ratio in 20 innings (three starts) this season at the Double-A level. The 27-year-old will work in a long relief role in his first taste of MLB action.
