Blue Jays designated LHP Ryan Feierabend for assignment.
The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Cavan Biggio. Feierabend figures to clear waivers and remain in the organization.

Blue Jays purchased the contract of LHP Ryan Feierabend from Triple-A Buffalo.
The 33-year-old left-hander will play in the big leagues for the first time since way back in 2014 with the Rangers. He re-invented himself as a knuckleball pitcher in the Korean Baseball Organization. He will start Saturday’s game against the White Sox. He had a 2.70 ERA in 16 2/3 innings at Triple-A before getting the call.

Ryan Feierabend was hit hard in Saturday’s loss to the White Sox, allowing four runs on seven hits in his four innings of work.
The knuckleballer walked one and struck out two on the afternoon. He surrendered a solo homer to Leury Garcia in the first inning, then the White Sox tacked on two more runs in the second and another in the third. It’s unclear how long he would have pitched in the ballgame as the game was called due to rain in the fifth inning. If he gets another start for the Jays, it would come on a difficult assignment against the Red Sox on Thursday in Toronto.

The Blue Jays are expected to promote Ryan Feierabend to start against the White Sox on Saturday.
The 33-year-old left-handed knuckleballer hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since the 2014 season. He has impressed at Triple-A Buffalo this season though, posting a 2.70 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 13/6 K/BB ratio in 16 2/3 innings. He should be avoided for fantasy purposes.

Blue Jays signed LHP Ryan Feierabend to a minor league contract.
The deal is pending a physical. Feierabend, 33, has pitched the last four years in the Korean Baseball Organization, and now operates as a knuckleball thrower. He owns a 7.15 ERA over 113 1/3 innings in the MLB, with his last appearance coming for Texas in 2014.

Mariners purchased the contract of LHP Ryan Feierabend from Double-A San Antonio.
Feierabend was 9-12 with a 4.28 ERA, 156 H and 127/55 K/BB in 153 2/3 IP for San Antonio. He has a fine chance of making it as a major league starter, but his upside is limited and he’s likely to need a year in Triple-A first.
  • MLB Starting Pitcher #60
Phillies re-signed LHP Ryan Feierabend to a minor league contract.
Feierabend hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2008 and posted ERAs of 5.14 and 5.39 over the last two seasons at Triple-A. He’ll occupy a spot in Triple-A Lehigh Valley’s rotation.
  • MLB Starting Pitcher #60
Rangers signed LHP Ryan Feierabend to a minor league contract.
Feierabend hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2008 and put up an ugly 6.75 ERA over seven starts for the Reds’ Triple-A affiliate in 2012. He’s merely organizational depth.

Rangers re-signed LHP Ryan Feierabend to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Feierabend posted a 3.70 over 148 1/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A for the Rangers last season. He hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2008 and is merely organizational depth.
